Scripture of the Day

Revelation 11

2. But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.
3. And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.
4. These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth.
5. And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed.
6. These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will.
7. And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.
8. And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.
9. And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves.
10. And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth.
11. And after three days and an half the Spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them.
12. And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them.
13. And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven.
14. The second woe is past; and, behold, the third woe cometh quickly.

Scripture of the Day

Proverbs 17
4. A wicked doer giveth heed to false lips; and a liar giveth ear to a naughty tongue.
5. Whoso mocketh the poor reproacheth his Maker: and he that is glad at calamities shall not be unpunished.

Have you ever wondered why corrupt and lying politicians are continually elected to office? Have you ever thought why are lying ministers or pastors gathering such large crowds?

Verse four sheds a light on a certain part of human nature most refuse to see. The evil do wickedly and have that little desire deep within their soul, a result of Adam’s sin, something that can catch fire and burn away at their soul & conscience. As an unsaved, unregenerate human we may not realize it, but we are attracted to that which we claim to despise, that being a lying tongue. When we jest and laugh at those naughty or obscene behaviors we are expressing, in a sense, our fallen nature.

Verse five is no less revealing, I think it can speak for itself.

Much of Hezbollah’s Arsenal Unable to be Precision-Guided

Story here.

Hezbollah’s missile arsenal has been static for ‎years and the organization lacks the industrial ‎ability to convert, upgrade or produce precision ‎weapons, Director of Military Intelligence Maj. Gen. ‎Tamir Heyman said earlier this week.‎

Briefing the Knesset’s Foreign Affairs and Defense ‎Committee on the tensions in the northern sector, ‎Heyman said Operation Northern Shield to neutralize ‎Hezbollah tunnels snaking under the Israel-Lebanon ‎border, as well as other measures exercised by the ‎IDF, were part of “an era of disruption and shaping ‎new reality on the ground” the Israeli military is ‎pursuing as part of the “campaign between the wars.” ‎

He was referring to a strategic concept that ‎encompasses a host of covert and low-intensity ‎military and intelligence efforts to prevent enemy ‎states and terrorist organizations from becoming ‎stronger and thwart their offensive activity.‎

‎”The regional upheavals are waning and we are on the ‎brink of significant changes, which harbor ‎opportunities as well as risks in all sectors,” he ‎said.‎

Commenting on the situation in Syria, Heyman said ‎that Israel was determined to curb Iran’s aspiration ‎to entrench itself militarily in Syria, which he ‎said was also a source of friction among decision-‎makers in Tehran.‎

This friction has caused Iran’s efforts in Syria to ‎slow considerably, he noted. ‎

Iran is facing an economic crisis over the U.S.’s ‎decision to reimpose sanctions on it. so far, ‎Israeli intelligence has been able to successfully ‎warn the relevant entities in the international ‎community as to the Islamic republic’s attempts to ‎bypass the American sanctions, he said.‎

Heyman stressed that despite regional tensions, ‎chances of war remain slim, “As it doesn’t seem to ‎be in our enemies’ interest at this time.” ‎

He nevertheless warned that the volatile situation ‎in all sectors consistently creates conditions for a ‎potential rapid escalation.

Meanwhile, an American think tank released an ‎analysis of Hezbollah’s missile arsenal.

‏The Missile Threat website, a product of the Missile ‎Defense ‎Project at the Center for Strategic and ‎‎International Studies in Washington, which looks at ‎a wide ‎range of policy, program, and strategic ‎issues ‎related to missile defense, has found that ‎the Shiite terrorist group is in possession of ‎‎130,000 rockets and missile, concluding that ‎‎”Hezbollah is the world’s most heavily armed non‎state actor, and has been described as a militia ‎trained like an army and equipped like a state.” ‎

The report found that the majority of Hezbollah’s ‎arsenal comprises short- and medium-range surface-to-surface, anti-tank and anti-ship missiles that ‎cannot be upgraded to precision-missiles, mostly ‎over Israel’s persistent efforts to thwart Iran’s ‎attempts to aid Hezbollah in this respect. ‎

The Shiite terrorist group has thousands of Katyusha and Scud missiles, as well as a wide ‎array of Iranian-made projectiles covering ‎various ranges, including Shain, Fajr, Falaq and ‎Zelzal missiles.

While the Scud ‎missile is considered the group’s ‎‎‎”heavyweight threat,” the report noted that they are ‎‎”usually seen as impractical weapons” as they are ‎‎”very bulky to transport and difficult to hide and ‎manipulate, requiring 45 minutes of preparation. ‎They do not provide Hezbollah much advantage.‎”

When it comes to the major questions of whether countries care more about guns or butter, the SIPRI survey shows that the world still prefers guns, but it increasingly prefer high-tech guns.
Russia is becoming a major arms producer, the second largest in the world according to a new survey of the global arms industry released by Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI). Turkey’s arms industry is also increasing in size, while Israel has three companies in the top 50 of arms-producing companies in the world.

Total arms sales in the world have largely remained the same in the last decade. In 2017 aroun d $398 billion in sales were booked by what SIPRI defines as the top 100 major military service companies. The companies making all the guns, planes and other hardware are largely concentrated in Western Europe and the US. The US accounts for 57% of all sales while Russia comes in a distant second at 9.5%. The only non-European countries that make up major sellers are Israel, Japan, India and South Korea.

Three Israeli companies appear in the top 50 companies globally. SIPRI estimates that Elbit Systems sold $3.39 billion in 2017 while Israel Aerospace Industries sold $3.53 billion. Rafael, ranked 45th in the world on the list, sold $2.58 billion. Per capita Israel has the largest arms industry in the world, however according to SIPRI its industry’s sales did not increase last year, in fact it was one of the few big countries that had a decrease. Russia, in contrast, increased its sales by 8.5 percent. Almaz-Antey, with $9 billion in sales, is the heart of the Russian arms industry. It produces air defense system, including the technology behind the S-400 which Russia has been shopping throughout the Middle East and elsewhere.

Turkey is also seeking to become a major arms manufacturer,

according to the study. It’s Aselsan company booked $1.4 billion in sales in 2017. Aselsan makes electronics, including radars. Like many companies that are expanding their sales in the defense industry, the big money is now in technology, not just heavy weapons systems such as tanks. Radar and avionics and air defense are among the items that make for huge profits. For instance one Patriot battery might cost $1 billion according to CNBC, while an S-400 could cost $500 million and a THAAD air defense battery would be $3 billion.

Because of these costs, large and sophisticated countries like the US take a major part of the cake when it comes to arms sales. Companies such as Lockheed Martin, which makes the F-35, and Boeing, which makes the F-15, and Raytheon, which makes missiles, account for the largest sellers. Other major companies include BAE Systems in the UK as well as Northrop Grumman, General Dynamics.

When it comes to the major questions of whether countries care more about guns or butter, the SIPRI survey shows that the world still prefers guns, but it increasingly prefer high-tech guns and air defense systems.

Golan said that a future war with Hezbollah, as horrible as it may be, would also give Israel an opportunity to “defeat the Iranian project in Lebanon.”
Israel should solidify its control over the Golan Heights, deal more closely with the Kurds, and be careful in its relationship with the Persian Gulf countries because their set of values are significantly different than Israel’s, Yair Golan, until recently the IDF’s deputy chief of staff, said Tuesday.

Golan, speaking at a Jerusalem conference entitled “New realities in the Eastern Mediterranean,” said that Israel now has a “strategic opportunity” to make the Israeli presence on the Golan Heights permanent, something he said is “crucial to the security of Israel.”

He bewailed the fact that Katzrin, the largest community in the Golan Heights with some 7,000 people, only grows by less than 2% a year. “This is a shame,” he said. “There should be a city of 20,000 to 25,000 people in the Golan in the next 10 years.”

U.N.: ISRAELIS, PALESTINIANS MUST REAFFIRM 2 STATES BASED ON ’67 LINES

Trying to divide the land didn’t work out to well in the past
Israeli and Palestinian leaders must recognize a two-state resolution to the Israeli based on the pre-1967 lines with east Jerusalem as its capital, United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said on Wednesday.

“I call on all actors, and first and foremost the leadership of Israel and the Palestinian Authority, to take bold steps and restore faith in the promise of Resolution 181, of two states living side-by-side in peace and security, fulfilling the legitimate national aspirations of both peoples, with borders based on the 1967 lines and Jerusalem as the capital of both states – East Jerusalem being the capital of the Palestinian state,” Guterres said.

10 Questions About the Compatibility of Islam with America

Wikipedia defines Islamophobia as the fear, hatred of or prejudice against the Islamic religion or Muslims, especially when seen as a geopolitical force or the source of terrorism. Yes, many people around the globe who identify with Islam are good, hard working, loving people. But that’s a separate issue from Islam itself. Here are 10 questions about the compatibility of Islam in America. Depending on your answers, does that make you an Islamophobe?

What are those ten questions? Check them put.

The Day of the Lord

Its common for Christians to claim to be looking for the second coming of the Messiah. We are told that is our blessed hope, to be with our GOD and HIS Son, to be united in Heaven surrounded by Divine Love forever.

The reality is most give little thought as to the process of reaching that state of being. Yes, accepting Jesus as our Savior, as the last sacrifice for sin, asking for forgiveness and giving ourselves to that new life given to us by the Father; being part of the body of believers, doing & fulfilling our part in that body, whether in leadership or elsewhere, everyone has their purpose, all have their position in the body of believers.

Our lives here are our reflection our lives to come. The wise servant received ten cities because he wisely utilized that which was entrusted to him, the other who buried what his lord gave him suffered loss when his lord returned. We are to seek to utilize what gifts or skills the Heavenly Father grants to us. If we squander those things in the end we will suffer loss.

As Believers we are to pray for our Lords return, but we need to be aware that its not going to be as glorious we’ve been led to believe. Yes after He comes & sets up His kingdom on this earth & beyond, glorious barely describes what we can expect, but that process of getting there; through that proverbial Day of the Lord, thats what few seem give thought to.

Some simply believe they’ll be raptured away while others think humans are going to establish GOD’s kingdom before His return, others believe some alien entity will save mankind from extinction, the views of the as many as there are churches & religions. I’ll drop a few Scriptures I believe point to the fact the Day of the Lord is not going to be as glorious as some expect.

In Isaiah chapter 13, verses 6 through 13 to start.

6. Howl ye; for the day of the LORD is at hand; it shall come as a destruction from the Almighty.
7. Therefore shall all hands be faint, and every man’s heart shall melt:
8. And they shall be afraid: pangs and sorrows shall take hold of them; they shall be in pain as a woman that travaileth: they shall be amazed one at another; their faces shall be as flames.
9. Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it.
10. For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light: the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine.
11. And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible.
12. I will make a man more precious than fine gold; even a man than the golden wedge of Ophir.
13. Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of her place, in the wrath of the LORD of hosts, and in the day of his fierce anger.

Here we read about

  1. Destruction
  2. Hands are faint
  3. Peoples hearts melt
  4. People being afraid
  5. Pangs (pains) & sorrow
  6. Pain as a woman in chilbirth
  7. Amazed at one another
  8. Faces shall be as flames…

In verse 9 we read this,

the day of the LORD cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger

Wrath and fierce anger…. a Living GOD, Creator of the universe comes with wrath and fierce anger…🙁😟… why?

to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it.

Laying the land desolate, bad yes, destroying the sinners out of it, worse. Why worse, because in Ezekiel 33:
11. Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?

Also in Ezekiel 18:
23. Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord GOD: and not that he should return from his ways, and live?

The Father doesn’t find pleasure in the fact that the wicked are going to die, the Day of the Lord isn’t going to be something pleasurable for those going through it.

We read above,

I will make a man more precious than fine gold; even a man than the golden wedge of Ophir.
Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of her place,

Millions are going to die, mankind is going to be rare and few left alive, definitely not in the billions when the Day of the Lord is over.

I’ll write more later, work calls.

GOD bless.

Scripture of the Day

Ezekiel 16

1. Again the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
2. Son of man, cause Jerusalem to know her abominations,
3. And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD unto Jerusalem; Thy birth and thy nativity is of the land of Canaan; thy father was an Amorite, and thy mother an Hittite.
4. And as for thy nativity, in the day thou wast born thy navel was not cut, neither wast thou washed in water to supple thee; thou wast not salted at all, nor swaddled at all.
5. None eye pitied thee, to do any of these unto thee, to have compassion upon thee; but thou wast cast out in the open field, to the lothing of thy person, in the day that thou wast born.
6. And when I passed by thee, and saw thee polluted in thine own blood, I said unto thee when thou wast in thy blood, Live; yea, I said unto thee when thou wast in thy blood, Live.
7. I have caused thee to multiply as the bud of the field, and thou hast increased and waxen great, and thou art come to excellent ornaments: thy breasts are fashioned, and thine hair is grown, whereas thou wast naked and bare.
8. Now when I passed by thee, and looked upon thee, behold, thy time was the time of love; and I spread my skirt over thee, and covered thy nakedness: yea, I sware unto thee, and entered into a covenant with thee, saith the Lord GOD, and thou becamest mine.
9. Then washed I thee with water; yea, I throughly washed away thy blood from thee, and I anointed thee with oil.
10. I clothed thee also with broidered work, and shod thee with badgers’ skin, and I girded thee about with fine linen, and I covered thee with silk.
11. I decked thee also with ornaments, and I put bracelets upon thy hands, and a chain on thy neck.
12. And I put a jewel on thy forehead, and earrings in thine ears, and a beautiful crown upon thine head.
13. Thus wast thou decked with gold and silver; and thy raiment was of fine linen, and silk, and broidered work; thou didst eat fine flour, and honey, and oil: and thou wast exceeding beautiful, and thou didst prosper into a kingdom.
14. And thy renown went forth among the heathen for thy beauty: for it was perfect through my comeliness, which I had put upon thee, saith the Lord GOD.
15. But thou didst trust in thine own beauty, and playedst the harlot because of thy renown, and pouredst out thy fornications on every one that passed by; his it was.

GOD is love, He is righteous and a GOD who loves justice. Justice requires judgment, our Father judges both personal and national sins, or a societies collective sins.

Israels backsliding is recounted throughout the Old Testament. Today people disregard those lessons & think the Divine no longer judges nations, they continue on in their own wickedness considering their own greatness while disregarding the opinion of GOD.

The Father has patience, moreso than any of us can imagine. But at some point our evil as a nation will catch up to us & like backsliding Israel, we’ll stand before a living GOD & judgment.

Scripture of the Day

Psalms 128
Song of degrees.
1. Blessed is every one that feareth the LORD; that walketh in his ways.
2. For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee.
3. Thy wife shall be as a fruitful vine by the sides of thine house: thy children like olive plants round about thy table.
4. Behold, that thus shall the man be blessed that feareth the LORD.
5. The LORD shall bless thee out of Zion: and thou shalt see the good of Jerusalem all the days of thy life.
6. Yea, thou shalt see thy children’s children, and peace upon Israel.

Scripture of the Day

Hebrews 3

11. So I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.)
12. Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.
13. But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.
14. For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;
15. While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.

Scripture of the Day

Psalms 126

Song of degrees.
1. When the LORD turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream.
2. Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The LORD hath done great things for them.
3. The LORD hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad.
4. Turn again our captivity, O LORD, as the streams in the south.
5. They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.
6. He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.

The European Court of Human Rights goes full dhimmi

Founded in 1949 and headquartered in Strasbourg, the Council of Europe – which today counts every European state except Belarus and Vatican City as a member – is supposed to be a guardian of democracy and human rights. That’s its official raison d’être. It is separate from the European Union, and its court, the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR), whose judges are elected by the Council of Europe’s Parliamentary Assembly (a legislative body whose 324 members are drawn from Europe’s national parliaments), should not be confused with the EU’s European Court of Justice (ECJ). It began hearing cases and handing down verdicts in 1959.

How many Europeans are even aware of the Council of Europe’s existence – or, if they are, could explain what it does? How many know the difference between the ECHR and the ECJ? Relatively few, I suspect. But this is par for the course in Europe, where the elected governments, in the decades since World War II, have built up a network of international bodies that wield considerable power while operating in the shadows with little or no accountability to the people. Guardian of democracy, indeed.
