Proverbs 3

27. Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do it.
28. Say not unto thy neighbour, Go, and come again, and to morrow I will give; when thou hast it by thee.
29. Devise not evil against thy neighbour, seeing he dwelleth securely by thee.
30. Strive not with a man without cause, if he have done thee no harm.
31. Envy thou not the oppressor, and choose none of his ways.
32. For the froward is abomination to the LORD: but his secret is with the righteous.
33. The curse of the LORD is in the house of the wicked: but he blesseth the habitation of the just.
34. Surely he scorneth the scorners: but he giveth grace unto the lowly.
35. The wise shall inherit glory: but shame shall be the promotion of fools.

2nd Peter 2

18. For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error.
19. While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.
20. For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.
21. For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.
22. But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.

LIVE STREAM: Release of 2019 World Watch List

Today, Open Doors USA President and CEO David Curry will reveal the 2019 Open Doors World Watch List during a live press conference at 10:00 a.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST). Open Doors will also share commentary around gender-based persecution, which has continued to rise resulting in the double persecution of women.

In order to watch the live stream, please go to the Open Doors’ Facebook page by CLICKING HERE. The live stream will begin at 10:00 a.m. or a few minutes after on Wednesday, January 16th.

Please pray for Open Doors USA staff as they run the press conference.

Pray the persecuted Christians who will be speaking at the press conference will be filled with peace.

Pray many Christians would be moved to pray for our persecuted brothers and sisters as a result of the release of the 2019 World Watch List.

Proverbs 22

7. The rich ruleth over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender.
26. Be not thou one of them that strike hands, or of them that are sureties for debts.
27. If thou hast nothing to pay, why should he take away thy bed from under thee?

Debt is not a good thing for anyone, you become the slave to the lender. Why take the risk of losing everything for satisfaction of the moment?

People whine that this generation is the me generation, yeah not so much. The boomers and the Xers are the me generations, we were the one who racked up trillions in personal debt, we were the ones who kept crooked politicians in office while creating the political & economic conditions we now see. When pointing at others we forgot to point at ourselves.

Proverbs 17
4. A wicked doer giveth heed to false lips; and a liar giveth ear to a naughty tongue.
5. Whoso mocketh the poor reproacheth his Maker: and he that is glad at calamities shall not be unpunished.

Have you ever wondered why corrupt and lying politicians are continually elected to office? Have you ever thought why are lying ministers or pastors gathering such large crowds?

Verse four sheds a light on a certain part of human nature most refuse to see. The evil do wickedly and have that little desire deep within their soul, a result of Adam’s sin, something that can catch fire and burn away at their soul & conscience. As an unsaved, unregenerate human we may not realize it, but we are attracted to that which we claim to despise, that being a lying tongue. When we jest and laugh at those naughty or obscene behaviors we are expressing, in a sense, our fallen nature.

Verse five is no less revealing, I think it can speak for itself.
